See Henry Kapono & Some of Hawaii’s Most Iconic Artists & Rising Young Stars

In its third season, GRAMMY® Award Nominee Henry Kapono hosts some of Hawaii’s most iconic musical artists and rising young stars as he opens each show with his own classic hits, then talks story one-on-one with the featured artist, “deconstructing” their career as only one artist to another can do. The show also showcases an intimate performance by each artist including a jam session with Henry.

The Blue Note Hawaii presents the continuation of the Artist 2 Artist series with four added concerts. Each show is hosted by Henry Kapono with a special guest each night and involving a combination of talk-story about their careers followed by a live jam session. The series, taking place in the intimate Blue Note Hawaii Theater, allows audiences an up close and personal experience with the artists. The series continues August 22 with Sean Na’auo, September 10 with Blayne Asing, October 8 with Jerry Santos, and November 12 with Alx Kawakami in a concert celebrating the music of James Taylor. All shows are at 7:00 pm.

Maui Arts & Cultural Center presents the continuation of the Artist 2 Artist series with four added concerts. The series, taking place in the intimate McCoy Studio Theater, allows audiences an up close and personal experience with the artists. The series, all on Friday evenings, continues August 23 with Sean Na’auo, September 13 with Blayne Asing, October 11 with Jerry Santos, and November 8 with Alx Kawakami in a concert celebrating the music of James Taylor. All shows are at 7:30 pm. Tickets go on sale for these additional concerts to MACC members Saturday, July 20 and to the general public Saturday, July 27. Special discounts are available for those purchasing tickets to all four concerts.
